Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue

The certificate 3 in mine emergency response and rescue offered by Falck is an Australian nationally recognised qualification and is the mining and resources industry standard for those employed or seeking employment within firefighting or emergency response fields.


The course has theoretical and practical components and is taught by Falck trainers who have current real-world experience in fire and emergency response. Prior to completing the face to face training there is a pre-course on-line study component. We recommend that you commence the online study at least 4 weeks prior to attending the face to face component of the course.

Pre-requisites

Prior to attending:

  • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (within 3 years).
  • HLTAID001 Provide CPR (within 1 year).
  • Be fit enough for a moderate level of physical exertion.
  • Be happy working at heights.
  • Be happy working in confined/dark spaces.
  • Be clean shaven.

There is a maximum number of 10 participants per program.


Location

This course is conducted regularly at both our Perth and Brisbane training facilities but is also available to corporate clients at any other site that has suitable facilities.


Pre - course study

Prior to attending any face to face training, you are required to complete an online pre-course study program for each of the units included in the qualification. The online study program is simple to complete and requires some reading as well as successful completion of a short quiz. Once you have completed the quiz you will gain a certificate that you will need to bring to class as proof of completion.


Face to face tuition

During the face to face sessions you will review the information from the online learning but most of the days are comprised of practical training and assessment sessions. All sessions need to be successfully completed.


On completion

After successful completion of this course, the candidate will be issued with the qualification –

  • RII30715 Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue.
